Human Rights and GBV Research

Our research initiatives delve deeply into the systemic challenges and societal factors influencing GBV and human rights violations. Through evidence-based studies, we provide insights into emerging trends, barriers to justice, and community-specific issues impacting women and children. This data-driven approach empowers policymakers, stakeholders, and communities with the knowledge needed to address GBV effectively and promote a just society.

Human Rights and GBV Reforms

Our reform efforts focus on advancing legal and policy changes and behavioral changes (including harmful social and cultural norms) that strengthen the protection of human rights and address GBV. We collaborate with governmental bodies, legislators, and justice sector partners to review, advocate for, and implement reforms that align with international human rights standards. These initiatives aim to create lasting legislative and procedural frameworks that protect the rights of vulnerable groups, especially women and children.

04

Human Rights and GBV Advocacy & Awareness

Advocacy and awareness are central to our mission. Through strategic campaigns, community engagement, and media outreach, we work to shift perceptions, dismantle harmful practices, and foster a culture that rejects GBV. Our awareness programs empower individuals and communities to recognize, resist, and report abuses, amplifying the voices of survivors and building a society committed to gender equality and human rights. GAWRC’s team comprises highly experienced professionals with expertise in human rights law, gender advocacy, child rights, criminal justice, communication, program monitoring, psychology, and counseling. Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge and a unified commitment to furthering human rights and eradicating GBV. Our team members also serve as consultants for a variety of national and international organizations, underscoring GAWRC's leadership in driving impactful, sustainable change.
